Woodworks by Ted Todd launch their Rare Finds in North America

Woodworks by Ted Todd hold the largest reserves of antique and reclaimed timber in the world – including the finest English oak, jarrah from the aluminium plains of Australia and centuries-old pitch pine from North America. A unique stock we’ve spent many years acquiring. We recently launched Woodworks by Ted Todd in North America, bringing our fully-restored engineered antique and reclaimed wood flooring to a market that has a deep appreciation of the history and beauty of old wood.

In February we took a selection of our antique, reclaimed and new engineered wood floors to KBIS in Las Vegas, introducing our Rare Finds to the North American market for the very first time. Many of these floors were crafted from wood that had originally come from North America in the 19th century that was shipped to England to meet the huge demand for building material during the Industrial Revolution.  In many ways, they were returning home.

For the last 50 years, KBIS has been the voice of kitchen and bathroom industry, providing a platform for businesses to showcase the latest industry products, trends and technologies. After our MD Robert Walsh attended KBIS in 2018, we decided that it was the perfect platform to showcase our wood floors and launch our brand in North America.

It soon became apparent that our engineered wood floors were a hit with the architects, designers and developers attending the show who were immediately drawn to the age and provenance of the floors and the stories of the buildings they were reclaimed from. We were thrilled to be awarded KBIS Best Small Stand on the last day, no mean achievement given the scale of the show.

Exhibiting at the Architectural Digest Design Show

This week we return to the USA, this time to the East Coast and the Architectural Digest Design Show in New York. We will be showcasing our Rare Finds floors alongside our new, reclaimed and antique wood flooring to architects, designers and their customers. Visit us at booth 447 to discover the beauty and heritage of our wood floors.

We’re looking forward to work closely with our clients to offer advice on sourcing and selecting wood for projects, whether for floors, panelling and joinery, knowing that it’s a one-off opportunity to source and match timbers to a specific period or look.

We have set up a team of people dedicated to working with you to specify projects across North America, with consultations available across the US, Canada and Mexico.  It’s all about starting a conversation, finding out about clients’ project first so that we can work with them every step of the way.

Whether you have a project or a head office in North America, we’re happy to come to you.
